Therapy for Mount Sinai Healthcare Workers and Families
Whether you are a nurse, physician, resident, technician, or part of the staff that keeps the hospital running, healthcare work asks a lot of you. It can be hard to find time for your own care, let alone a therapist who takes your insurance. Our practice is in network with the Mount Sinai Top Tier Network, the employee health plan administered by UMR, so you can focus on finding the right fit instead of sorting through coverage.

Coverage extends to eligible dependents, which means partners, children, teens, and young adults in your family can work with us too. Sessions are available in our Great Neck office or online from anywhere in New York, including from home after a long shift in the city.

When the Work Comes Home With You
Healthcare work asks you to stay steady through other people's hardest days. You may hold it together for patients and colleagues all day, then find there is little left for yourself or the people at home. Some of what you carry does not have an easy place to land.
Healthcare workers reach out when they feel:
-> Worn down in a way that rest alone does not fix
-> Weighed down by patient loss or difficult outcomes
-> Unable to switch off after a shift
-> Short on patience or presence with partners and kids
-> Anxious, tense, or running on adrenaline
-> Facing their own grief or a family illness while still at work
How We Help
-> Make space for what you see and carry at work
-> Work through grief, whether from patient loss or loss in your own life
-> Ease the anxiety and stress that follow you home
-> Reconnect with your partner and family
-> Think through career questions and big life changes

Our goal is for you to feel steadier, more like yourself, and less alone with it.

Care Shaped by Medical Settings
Each of us came to this work through oncology and medical social work, sitting with patients and families through some of the hardest moments. That background means we understand the pace, the pressure, and the emotional weight of healthcare work without needing it explained.
Our approach integrates psychodynamic insight with evidence-based techniques, shaped around what you need. Some people want a place to process what they are carrying. Others want practical support for stress or a particular decision. We build the work around you.
What We Help With
Burnout and Compassion Fatigue
Feeling emptied out by work you once found meaningful, or noticing that caring takes more out of you than it used to.
Grief and Patient Loss
The losses that come with the work, and the personal losses that do not pause because you have a shift tomorrow.
Anxiety and Chronic Stress
Racing thoughts, trouble sleeping, and the physical toll of being on high alert for long stretches.
Relationships & Family Strain
Long hours and unpredictable schedules can create distance at home. We work with individuals and couples to rebuild connection.
Life Transitions
Starting out in medicine, changing roles, returning from leave, or rethinking what you want from your career.
Support for Your Family
Therapy for children, teens, and young adults in your household who are navigating anxiety, change, or big feelings of their own.
Using Your Benefits
We are in network with the Mount Sinai Top Tier Network, administered by UMR, for Mount Sinai employees.
Eligible dependents on your plan are covered too.
Not sure what your plan covers? Bring your insurance card to your free consultation and we will help you understand your benefits before you begin.
Work in healthcare somewhere other than Mount Sinai? You are welcome here too. We accept out-of-network benefits and provide superbills, and private pay is also available.
You can find more details on our Insurance and Rates page.
Therapy That Fits Your Schedule
Hospital schedules rarely follow a nine-to-five day. We offer evening and weekend sessions, and we can schedule week to week, so your appointments can shift when your rotation does.
Online sessions mean you can meet from home, from your car before a shift, or anywhere private in New York, without adding a commute to an already long day.
